Hello! I have a HF car battery charger (model 46944) and the metal foot in the front bottom of the charger keeps coming off (now it's lost). Since the foot is metal I am assuming it is also a ground for the charger. Anyway, I am thinking about just getting an all metal caster and mounting it on the bottom front of the charger. Anyone know what's inside these chargers? Obviously I don't want to drill into anything I shouldn't, or ruin the machine. Any help here would be greatly appreciated!...

How do you bleed and add hydraulic fluid on the new 1000 lb. lift table? The hydraulic unit has directions on it that contradicts the included manual directions. If you follow the hydraulic unit directions you can't get your hands in the table to do anything.

Looks like HF is coming back to their roots: They started doing coupon deals again.

I think, between inflation, and the fact that their marketing was driven by coupons for years, it was innevitable. I've long thought that HF shoppers like the coupons.

Was thinking of getting a new set of drills am ready to buy the Hercules hammer drill/driver and impact driver along with the batteries, chargers and all the fixings, and also possibly the circular saw too, all 20V. But I read that they are coming out with a whole new line of brushless motor designs, it was some random guy in a tool forum I can't recall, I tried to find more information but found little.
If this is true I may wait for them, but I don't want to wait too long. Could wait a few...

Hey all - newbie here and need some help from the experts. Bought the subject sprayer a few months ago and it works surprisingly well. Problem is that I need to spray some latex paint and it is more of an automotive or wood finish set up (thinner paints / stains). It came with a 1.4mm nozzle and I need more like a 2.0mm nozzle. Problem is, Harbor Freight does not seem to carry them or support different size nozzles which kind of sucks.

Since most of these sprayers are probably made by a few...

Which Cordless Powertool Brand Is Better - Bauer Or Hercules

Also, are the batteries between the two interchangeable - that is can the Bauer be used on the Hercules and vice-versa, can one type be used on the charger of the other?

Anybody else noticed that the normally well-stocked HF retail stores have a lot of bare shelves these days?

I assume it's a combo of two things:

1) More DIY tool buying, as Americans moved to being a bit more self-sufficient during lockdown.

2) Supply chain problems from China.

Anybody have any further insights?

I bought a compact bender, figured 'how hard can that be.' I've played with it, moved things around.. nothing. I pride myself in being a fighter jet mech... Well I suck at this bender.

All videos only show people doing a 90° bend... No scrools or details...

Who can help... Please it like to begin using this thing. Not just the instructions manual...

Was running some errands in Anderson yesterday, drove by a new HF store that's under construction. Always wondered why they didn't have one there yet. It's a retail mecca.

Happy to see it. Not a lot closer for me than the Toccoa store, but convenient when I run errands in that direction.

Got an email blast from HF about this. Saw one of the first place winners is a teacher from the town I lived in for 26 years (Lawrenceville, GA), in the same school system where my sister-in-law and many friends and acquaintances are teachers.

Pimping The Craftsman Brand

Was in Lowes earlier this evening. It's incredible how they've gone whole hog into the Craftsman brand. It dominated many of the endcaps and various sections of the store. Tool chests, cordless tools, tape measures, bits, hand tools.

I view all of this as a result of HF's quality increases. The other retail chains need entry level tools as an alternative to HF. In the case of Lowes, they're using the Craftsman brand to fight on the low end of the tool market.

Have an older Pittsburgh slip joint pliers that has always been balky. Put enough pressure on it while gripping something hard, and the slip notch jumps out of the groove, which can be painful, depending on the circumstances. I tried adjusting the nut/bolt, but it was just a poorly machined tool.

Since I had to go to HF today anyway, I figured I'd try out the lifetime warranty on these tools. They don't sell the same pliers individually anymore, so the store manager opened a multi set...

I keep track of future Amazon purchases using's Amazon's "My List" feature. I wish Harbor Freight would do the same. I'm often thinking about "on my next trip to HF I need...", and I often forget what's on that mental list. IIRC, HF's shopping cart isn't durable beyond visits, or a few days, so keeping a shopping cart of wish list items doesn't work, either.
