My Central Machinery Bandsaw is nearly 15 years old now. Made in Taiwan, before HF switched them to a mainland China manufacturer.

I was only an occasional user of it for woodworking, but my wife has been using it every day in her crafting business for the last few years. Early this year, she wore out the power switch. I upgraded it to a paddle style switch which can be turned off with a knee. Early on, I had replaced the resin blade guides with the ball bearing style. Those work well.

Overall, a well made machine. I notice the newer models in the store have rougher castings, but it's still the same design.

If you've been shopping HF that long, you probably have a strong opinion on HF quality, then vs. now.
